Summary:

This artowork illustrates my passions of art and dance together. A series of images of myself dancing are altered digitally to convey a relationship of figure, space and color.

This particular piece shows two figures in open stances maintaining a horizontal connection. The cool colors insist on a smooth flow of energy left and right.

Show dance, a complex art, through a simple design. Art is the understanding of figure and space relationship. How does a snapshot illustrate musicality?

Design Solution:

I used one simple contour line to emphasize the figure in space. I used gradients of colors to show texture and I reversed the colors to balance implied movement.

Programs and techniques:

Adobe Illustrator was used to create clean sharp contour lines. Photoshop was used to photo manipulate and create color gradients.
