Summary:

WestieMonkey is a New York dance group. One of their goals is to network the East Coast dance community to inform dancers of events, competitions, performances, and workshops. Their online site is composed of calendars, news updates and message boards allowing the dance community to interact and grow.

This project was to create a shirt to illustrate the fun and playfulness of the group and welcome more dancers to both visit the website for information and use it as a way to communicate to other dancers.

Create a shirt logo that is clear, informative yet playful.

Design Solution:

This shirt logo is simple using the name of the group with a few hints of a monkey theme without having to illustrate a monkey.

Programs and techniques:

Adobe Illustrator was used to create clean sharp contour lines.
